Polish Business Roundtable Club
The Club was founded in 1997 by the Polish Business Roundtable – an organization of elite Polish entrepreneurs, created to help consolidate the business community and promote economic growth in Poland.
As of 2000, the Club is located at the Sobański Palace in Aleje Ujazdowskie – one of the most prestigious streets in Warsaw. It was purchased and renovated by Wejchert Investments, a company who is also the owner of TWE (the Club’s management company).
The David statue – the Club’s symbol – has been standing in the gardens of the Palace since 1897. The statue is a perfect replica of the original created in 1430 by Donatello, one of the greatest sculptors of the Italian Renaissance. The engravings on the statue „Vincit vim animus” explain that it is a symbol of victory, courage and ingenuity.
Our goal was to create a unique venue – a private club with an excellent restaurant and bar, professional and discrete service, and selection of meeting rooms. This is why with time the Sobański Palace became an ideal venue for both professional and social gatherings.
As of September 2009, the Amber Room restaurant is open to the public. The remaining facilities (the brasserie and meeting rooms) are open only to Club members. We invite anyone interested in joining the Club to contact the TWE office.
